Peak season:
June 20 - August 21, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You don't have to book, you are welcome whenever you want. Of course, it's best to arrive by 10am so you can spend the whole day panning for your gold.
Postseason:
August 22nd - September 26th Please note: Book in advance.
Prices:
Adults 490 SEK - children 240 kr. The ticket is valid for a whole day.
The price includes: equipment rental, rubber boots, lessons and help throughout the day from real gold diggers. Of course, you take all the gold you pan out in a glass tube home as a beautiful souvenir.
Gold panning with a teacher (available on site all day), equipment rental and installation of your gold in the glass tube: 490 kr. The price is valid for a whole day from noon. 10:00 to 17:00
Panning for children up to 12 years, with instructors (available all day on site), equipment rental and installation of your gold in the glass tube: 240 Kr
Recommended age
Gold panning is really for adults (and young people). But even children can learn to pan gold and finish the visit here successfully. It's hard to name a maximum or minimum age, it varies from person to person. Under 10 years is a kind of limit. Younger children do not always have the patience to spend hours panning.
More details and different tips
The earlier you arrive, the more time you have to pan and the more gold you take home. Bring weatherproof clothes and rubber boots with you. (Boots are included in the ticket, but we do not always have many boots in all sizes.) Panning just an hour or two is not a good idea. You should pan at least three hours to familiarize yourself with the gold pan. And of course, the longer you wash, the more gold you will find.
